Blog9-Engaging your PLN

After reflecting on my practices at Mattermost, on my blog, and with my final group colleagues on my break-out media platforms, I may be able to expand my digital identity post-term, in part due to my PLN interactions in this course. Having worked on various platforms over the past two years, I’ve learned how to kindly communicate and collaborate with the intention of learning and growing. Experience has taught me that the way I am perceived online and offline is affected by my DI. The PLN course has also provided me with experience of what it is like to receive kindness and respect from others. They may, ultimately, tell someone else about me because they observed my interactions and knew what knowledge and gifts I had to offer. A person I have networked with throughout this course might also be informed of my contacts.

Since I have developed a PLN that is diverse in terms of people within it as well as tools I use, it is open to all perspectives and capable of hearing new perspectives (Olivera, 2014) I believe my PLN will open new career opportunities for me. Due to the fact that I have customized my network in this way, I will have connections that will last forever or just a few minutes. I believe that any connection, no matter how long/strong it is, can lead to new learning opportunities or other opportunities, provided I am open to it, flexible, and able to adapt to it.
